Team Vic Training 10th/11th July 2010

Please note that there is no Team Vic training this weekend, although the Taekwondo Victoria website does not reflect this change.

2010 Summer Victorian Championships

Details as at 2nd March.  Please check Team Carlo website and www.tkdvic.com.au regularly leading up to the event for any changes to scheduled information.

Sunday 21st March – black belts (youngest athletes first) 9am – 4pm, State Netball & Hockey Centre, Parkville.

On line entries open Wed 3rd March & Close Wed 17th March.  Late entries will not be accepted.  Entires available at www.tkdvic.com.au.

Weigh in details:
All athletes competing on Sunday – Junior weigh in 8.30 – 9.30am/Senior weigh in 10.00 – 11.30am Sunday 21st March State Netball & Hockey Centre.

2010 Youth Olympic Team Selection Trials

Please not the following information pertaining to this weekend’s competition:

Venue: Aqualink, Surrey Drive, Boxhill 3128

Saturday 5th December
Weigh in & registration  6 – 8pm. Coach registration  6 – 8pm.

Sunday 6th December
Athletes arrive 8.15 – 8.30am
Competition commences 9.00am
Competition finishes 3.30pm

Everybody is welcome and encouraged to come along and support two of our aspiring Olympic athletes Tom Afonczenko and Alana Pozzebon.

Team Victoria Training information

Eligibility – Red & Black Belt players wo have placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd at the 2009 Victorian Selection Championships and/or the 2009 Australian Open & National Championships in the following age divisions: 10-11, 12-13, 14-17 & open.

Sunday October 18, Unit 1/ Deblin Drive, Narre Warren

Times
9.00 – 10am Under 13’s all belts
10.00 – 11.00am Under 17’s all belts
11.00am – 12.oopm Open all belts

Please ensure you bring all your training equipment with you and out of respect for the other coaches, arrive at least 15 mins prior to your designated start time.

New Team Victorian members registration 9.00am – 12.00 noon. All new members will be able to try on team gear and will receive a registration/order form to be forwarded by the deadline.  No monies are needed on the day. Cost for new members is $250.00 which inlcudes 8 monthly training sessions, tracksuit, polo shirt, bag & dobok as well as discount for TVI activities and the opportunity to compete internationally.

Pre Season Trainig sessions

Following is the list of pre-season training sessions that are conducted outside of Team Carlo. Please ensure you arrive on time to maximise your training time.

Session 1.
1.30 – 2.30pm Saturday October 24, 2009. Edwards Lake – Cnr Griffiths & Edwards Streets, Reservoir.
Track work with coach Adam Wright
Landmark – Find the old steam train on the corner of the park.  Track is approx 50m behind the train (although not visible from the road).
Equipment – Running gear (including shoes), fluids, hat and sunscreen.

Session 2.
12.30 – 1.30pm Saturday November 7, 2009. Maribyrnong River, Moonee Ponds.
Stair work with coach Carlo Massimino
Landmark - Meet at Boathouse Cafe, The Boulevard, Moonee ponds (Aberfeldie).
Equipment – Running gear (including shoes), fluids, hat and sunscreen.

Session 3.
12.00 – 1.00pm Saturday November 21, 2009. Port Melbourne Beach.
Beach runs and Bay recovery with coach Carlo Massimino.
Landmark - Meet at the old Rex Hunt’s Fish & Chippery (near Spirit of Tasmania pier) Melway ref 56 J3.
Equipment: Light weght running gear, fluids, hat and sunscreen.  Old runners are a good option to wear whilst running in the water.
